The first time in London for seven years for the mighty Afro Cuban All Stars and their leader Juan de Marcos Gonzalez.  Juan de Marcos has been a key figure in Cuban music for the last twenty five years first as a founder of Sierra Maestra and then in bringing together  the artists who became Buena Vista Social Club and latterly introducing a raft of new Cuban artists as a label boss and impresario. Dubbed “The Quincy Jones of Havana” this is a rare, rare  visit for his big band the Afro-Cuban All Stars presenting the past, present and future of the Cuban sound.

“Shaping the future of Cuban music” The Sunday Times

“An exuberant mix. Cuban music is alive and kicking” Metro

Lokkhi Terra play an opening set. Led by pianist Kishon Khan, and fresh from a sold out headline show at Ronnie Scotts,  their extraordinary London sound blends Cuban rumba with Bengali folk, Afrobeat on Latin and Asian instruments and samba with  Indian classical.
