Following the success of last year’s Independence Day event held at Electric Brixton with Sonora Dinamita and full supporting cast, this year’s event has moved online and will be free to view.

The show will feature, El Grito direct from London, and special performances by artists direct from Mexico including Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán accompanied by the magical voice of Rosy Arango, and singer songwriter Flor Amargo. Mexican tenor Luis Chapa together with virtuoso musicians Morgan Szymanski, Eduardo Andrade and Gerardo Mendaz will take us on an emotional journey through Mexico, interpreting music from Veracruz to Oaxaca.

Local artists participating from the UK include Mariachi el Mexicano, Colibrí Mexican Folkdance UK, Mexican Dance in Belfast and Mestizo Folklore Group.

Together with Expressarte, Mestizo restaurant and the Embassy of Mexico in the United Kingdom we are pleased to celebrate this day, virtually, with the entire Mexican community.
