Following an incredible response to our 2026 Open Call, we’re proud to announce the artists selected to join this year’s edition of La Linea Festival.

Now in its second year, the Open Call continues to be a key part of our commitment to supporting and platforming UK-based Latin artists, creating opportunities for emerging talent to perform alongside some of the most exciting names in contemporary Latin music.

The response this year was overwhelming, with a high volume of submissions from across the UK, spanning a wide range of genres, backgrounds, and artistic approaches. The quality, creativity and diversity of applications made this a particularly difficult selection process.

Selected Artists

We’re excited to welcome the following artists to La Línea 26:

Mimi Froes

Opening for Sara Correia
Barbican — 20 April 2026

Portuguese singer-songwriter Mimi Froes brings a deeply personal approach to songwriting, blending poetic lyricism with contemporary sounds. Following the success of her debut album Contornos, she continues to establish herself as one of the most compelling new voices in Lusophone music.

Xaman X

Opening for La Yegros
Fox & Firkin — 24 April 2026

Xaman X create a psychedelic, genre-defying live experience, fusing electronic production with traditional Latin American instrumentation. Their sound moves between ritual and rave — a cosmic journey where cumbia, percussion and synth-driven textures collide.

Fedzilla

Opening for Renata Flores
Jazz Café — 24 April 2026

MC and performer Fedzilla delivers bass-heavy, high-energy sets that blend hip hop, reggaeton and global club sounds. With sharp lyricism in English and Spanish, her work bridges dancefloor energy with storytelling and social commentary.

Inês Loubet

Opening for Zé Ibarra
Jazz Café — 6 May 2026

Portuguese artist Inês Loubet merges Latin jazz, Tropicália and soulful grooves into a rich, textured sound. Her debut album Senga has received widespread acclaim, positioning her as an exciting new presence in contemporary jazz and world music.

At La Línea, we believe in creating space not only for established artists, but also for the next generation shaping the future of Latin music in the UK.

The Open Call is part of our ongoing mission to:

  • support emerging talent
  • reflect the diversity of the Latin diaspora
  • build stronger connections between artists, audiences and communities

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who applied this year. The level of talent, care and creativity across all submissions was truly inspiring.

We remain committed to developing initiatives like this and will continue to create opportunities for new artists in future editions of the festival.
