One of the most vital and visionary cumbia groups of our time is landing in Brixton this summer! 🇨🇴✨
Led by Mario Galeano Toro (founding member of Ondatrópica and Los Pirañas), @frentecumbiero is a driving force in Colombia’s new cumbia movement — blending deep-rooted traditions with global innovation.
Pushing the boundaries of cumbia and Latin folk, they’ve collaborated with legendary artists like Mad Professor, Kronos Quartet, Orquesta La Delio Valdez, and Minyo Crusaders.
For over a decade, Frente Cumbiero has championed the sound of the guacharaca, the iconic heartbeat of Colombian cumbia.
In 2020, they released the critically acclaimed EP Minyo Cumbiero: From Tokyo to Bogotá with Minyo Crusaders, followed by their second album, Cera Perdida. Now, they’re gearing up to release their next album in Spring 2025 to be showcased in London this summer!
